My knowledge related to body from physical theatre, dance, contrology, trauma studies and yoga merged with the knowledge that I learn from Neuro-Developmental Treatment Association (NDTA)’ s courses in Turkey.
As a consecutive translator in several trainings I learned the importance of motor development, posture and sensory integration. I re-configurate my teachings on movement.
I am a member of the International Dance Council – CID Unesco.I dance and teach Social Latin Dances and Argentine Tango since 1999. As a dancer I had a privilege to get trained with maestros between 2000 – 2011 such as Dmitry Lopatkin, Juan Matos, Pablo Pouchot & Silvina Larrea, Sebastian Arce & Mariana Montes, Nancy & Damian Essel, Marcela Guevara & Stefano Guidice, Carlos Paz, Esteban Moreno & Claudia Codega, Alejandra Gutty, Geraldin Rojas. I am also experienced with international dance festival organizations. Between 2007 and 2008, Dr. I did Kinesthetic studies with Chell Garcia. During this time, I received movement training in a wide variety of performance arts.
I am an E- RYT 200 & YACEP and Trauma Informed yoga instructor. We created an approach which we named as Neuro Developmental Yoga and have ongoing trainings in Turkey specifically for physiotherapist and mental health professionals.
My personal teaching approach in yoga is a combination variety of disciplines:
As a theatre professional my education was already included mindfull physical trainings, anatomy, mythology and philosophy.
As a consecutive translator I had a change to work with experts on psychiatry, physiotherapy, and neuroscience.
I attend Family Constellation Therapist Training for 2 years, unfortunately I had to drop in my senior year due to relocation in USA.
I had the privilege to attend workshops lectured by Bessel van der Kolk The Body Keeps Score: Brain, Mind and Body in the Healing of Trauma & Introduction to Trauma Sensitive Yoga lectured by E-RYT David Emerson & E-RYT, LMHC Jennifer Turner and Trauma for Performing Artists lectured by Peter Levine and Betsy Polatin. Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga lectured by Dr Arielle Schwartz and Dr Stephen Porges. I have ongoing trainings on trauma and body.
All these experiences guide me to restructure my own way of teaching movement and yoga.
Be aware of what affects the movement and how it is translated into your act.
