Cause

In the practice, I offer you tools to help you discover clues from where you are limited or blocked by unconscious (habitual) gestures, limited expressions, fixed postures.

  • These patterns may be traces of past traumatic experiences and conflicting emotions. Particularly in acting, vicarious trauma can be the case behind blockage because performer go through the bodily experiences of the character.
  • By working with the artist and the holding pattern based on movement and somatics, we try to find out what hinders the depth and originality of the performance. The exploration here allows the artist to make adjustments to help naturally change his breathing and movement. After these gentle interventions, the improvement and change in the performance we work with can be drastically observed.
